Tim and Mariel are missionaries sent by the German sending entity. If you want to donate to us through the GEM USA page, your donation is sent to the US sending entity. For legal reasons, because we are not part of GEM USA, but GEM Germany, GEM USA can't accept money for us as persons, only for a project related to us. Please be assured, that we, Tim and Mariel, benefit from your support of the project: "Operation of Main Project in Frankfurt". It's even more complicated, the project had previous another name: "Next: Church Multiplication Network - Chief of Operation". The Next network is now part of Main Project. Unfortunately, GEM can't change the name easily. But be assured your donation will reach us. We apologize for the complicated process.

Greater Europe Mission (GEM) is a mission organization with missionaries in Europe and surrounding countries. GEM is on its way to becoming international, with most missionaries coming still from North America, but now more and more Europeans are also becoming part of it. Greater Europe Mission (GEM) wants to multiply disciples and see grow Christ church, something that is also on Mariel and Tim's hearts. We have the privilege of being part of a team in Frankfurt of dedicated and inspiring missionaries. We are not alone in our mission, but can motivate each other as a team. We also have the opportunity through GEM to network with other missionaries in Europe who are doing something similar to us. Because we are employed by GEM, we are not tied to any denomination, which makes it easier to network with other churches in collaboration. We also receive great support from GEM, such as the opportunity to receive donations, have a supervisor and member care.

If you looking for us in the gemission.org page under missionaries, you can't find us. On this page are only the North American missionaries. Because the different sending entities are legally separate organizations, Mariel and Tim can't be listed on the GEM USA page. But we all minister together in Europe.

GEM has (almost) no general fund to employ missionaries. Missionaries need to raise their funds for their ministry. Why? Three short arguments:

1) Raising support is biblical.
2) Raising support offers people a way to invest in God’s Kingdom.
3) Raising support holds the missionary accountable to their work.
